Completion of female parts bow coupling Straatman

At Straatman Dredging & Construction, every component we manufacture is part of a much larger picture. Last Friday, we completed the Factory Acceptance Test of two key female parts for bow couplings for Jan De Nul’s fleet.

The delivery included:

• Ø900 female part for bow coupling, 24 bar, for the TSHD Filippo Brunelleschi
• Ø1000 female part for bow coupling, 24 bar, for the TSHD Charles Darwin

We designed the components to meet strict technical requirements for harsh maritime environments and performed all coating activities in-house, from start to finish.

This project also has a historical link for us. In 2002, Straatman delivered the full bow discharge installation for the TSHD Filippo Brunelleschi. Working together again after more than twenty years confirms the long-term partnerships we build and the trust of our clients.
